Mill Cottage is a listed luxury holiday cottage on the River Piddle in Dorset’s Thomas Hardy Country, Its secluded idyllic riverside position in the Purbeck rural conservation area is stunning and unique. The Dorset stretch of the “Jurassic Coast”, England’s only World Heritage site, is but a short drive away. The Rivers Piddle and nearby Frome have some excellent fishing. Lexie and John Cook purchased the Mill at auction in 2002. Planning permission took 3 years and 2 appeals and restoration took a full year with completion in July 2006. Mill Cottage is now an attractive and comfortable home embodying every essential modern facility and a number of breathtaking features.
